ST. PETERS, Mo. – A St. Peters childcare center is at the center of a lawsuit following a head injury the mother says she was never told about.The mother says she later learned her infant son had a skull fracture.The Missouri Office of Childhood cited Kids Kingdom on Four Winds Drive in St. Peters with failing to supervise a 5-month-old when he reportedly fell out of a bouncer and onto his head. The state also cited the center for failing to tell the infant’s parents anything even happened.“This was entirely preventable,” attorney Chris Finney said.Finney just filed a lawsuit over the incident that happened last October. A crew with the Los Angeles County Fire Department was involved in a traffic collision Tuesday in Santa Clarita. According to county fire officials, the crew had been dispatched to Whites Canyon Road and Nadal Street at around 1:23 p.m. on reports of an earlier collision. Video posted to the Citizen App showed that the county fire engine appears to have jumped the curb and crashed into a brick wall in front of a residence. Significant damage can be seen to the front of the firetruck, with dents in the grill as well as the front windows knocked out of the vehicle. Needle delivery services for drug users will be available in Santa Ana after the state approved a syringe exchange program on Tuesday.The announcement comes despite the city's continued objections over the program, with officials citing threats to public health and general safety concerns. The program was approved by the California Department of Public Health from an application by the Harm Reduction Institute, a nonprofit organization focused on reducing and preventing drug use in Orange County.The nonprofit will be authorized to provide delivery of syringes and pickup of used syringes to private homes, tents, RVs and other non-traditional forms of housing.State officials said the organization will not be allowed to deliver syringes to unhoused individuals near playgrounds or schools. SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A 4-year-old girl was killed and her parents were injured in a crash in San Francisco on Tuesday, the San Francisco Police Department said. SFPD responded to 4th Street and King Street at about 5:15 p.m. regarding a crash involving a vehicle and pedestrians. All of the victims were hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. The girl was pronounced dead at the hospital. Teen girls nabbed after San Francisco business ransacked Each of the victims was a pedestrian. The girl who was killed was in a stroller. (KRON) -- A Petaluma bus driver was taken into custody after a fast food restaurant was evacuated on Tuesday, the Petaluma Police Department said. Lloyd Robinson, 41, of Rohnert Park was arrested on a count of annoying/molesting a child under 18 years old. "Petaluma Police Detectives were conducting an investigation regarding allegations of lewd behavior, specifically annoying a minor," PPD said. ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. (KDVR) — An Arapahoe County Sheriff's deputy is being applauded for saving a choking infant. His heroic efforts were captured on his body camera. Deputy Nicholas Pacheco, who has been with the department for eight years, was responding early Sunday morning to a call of an unresponsive child "turning blue."
