A fatal collision on Interstate 595 has led to the highway’s closure as police investigate the crash site.On Tuesday morning, Florida Highway Patrol officers were on the scene as a body lay on the westbound lanes of I-595 near Fort Lauderdale.As a result of the crash, traffic coming from Interstate 95 is being forced to exit the highway onto the ramp that leads to the Florida Turnpike, US-441, and State Road 84.Drivers can take SR-84 to Davie Road in order to get back onto the westbound lanes of I-595 from that street.Please check back on WSVN.com and 7News for more details on this developing story.Danish Conservative MEP deselected over bullying complaints

A man died after losing his balance and falling underneath a Green Line trolley at the MBTA’s North Station early Tuesday morning, officials said.Officers responding to a report of a person struck by an outbound trolley around 12:18 a.m. conducted an investigation and determined the man tried to kick the side of a moving trolley that was departing the station and fell underneath it as it was leaving, according to a transit police spokesman.He was pronounced dead at the scene. Family and friends of a New Bedford woman who was fatally shot at a car wash in Fall River on Monday afternoon came together in grief to light candles and honor the memory of their loved one taken too soon.Officers responding to a reported shooting at the Globe Car Wash on Broadway around 12:30 p.m. found Jessenia Simmons, 45, of New Bedford, dead in one of the car wash bays, according to the Bristol District Attorney’s Office.Angelo O. MONTREAL — Resolute Forest Products Inc., a subsidiary of Domtar Corp. and a part of the Paper Excellence Group, has signed a deal to sell its pulp and paper mill in Thunder Bay, Ont., to an affiliate of U.S. company Atlas Holdings.Financial terms of the deal were not immediately available.The sale of the mill is a requirement under an agreement between Domtar and the Competition Bureau in connection to the company’s acquisition of Resolute, which will continue to operate its sawmills and woodlands operations in northwestern Ontario. COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) — Norwegian authorities said Tuesday that a beluga whale, which was first spotted in Arctic Norway four years ago with an apparent Russian-made harness and alleged to have come from a Russian military facility, has been seen off Sweden’s coast nearly 2,000 kilometers (around 1,250 miles) to the south.“During the last few weeks, it has moved quickly and swam several hundred kilometers” before reaching waters off Sweden’s west coast, Olav Lekve of the Norwegian Directorate of Fisheries said.He said it has been reported off Lysekill, which sits north of Goteborg, Sweden’s second-largest city.
