DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (KDVR) -- Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office are searching for a group of thieves believed to be linked to several car and property thefts in the Parker area. Sheriff Darren Weekly told FOX31 some of the suspects were armed, adding even more concern. "This crime is particularly alarming because we do know at least one or two individuals were armed when they went into these garages,” Weekly said. On June 5 around 4 a.m., deputies said three suspects entered a garage in the Pradera neighborhood, just south of Parker, and stole a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. That night, deputies said the same suspects returned with two more people and stole a black Audi SUV in addition to trespassing into several other vehicles in the neighborhood. After leaving the Pradera neighborhood, deputies said the group of five went to the Pinery Glen neighborhood near Bayou Gulch Road and South Parker Road and broke into several other vehicles attempting to steal valuables in...BTS 10th anniversary: K-pop sensation’s decade-long style evolution

(CNN) — This week marks 10 years since K-pop sensation BTS burst onto the South Korean music scene in a flurry of chunky chains, baseball caps and spiky hair.Footage from the group’s official “debut day” in June 2013, when label Big Hit Entertainment unveiled its latest protégés to the world, shows its members flashing their outsize bling to the camera. Marketed as a hip-hop act at the time, the seven-piece then performed in matching black tank tops emblazoned with each wearer’s name for the benefit of an unfamiliar public.Fast-forward a decade, and BTS’ members are — collectively and individually — among the world’s most bankable fashion icons. In 2021, Louis Vuitton announced the group as brand ambassadors, while lucrative solo deals have seen Suga, Jimin and Jungkook appointed as the faces of Valentino, Dior and Calvin Klein, respectively. This style evolution has accompanied an overall shift in the group’s image — one that’s seen its members transform from wannabe bad-boys to cle...British man climbs 72 floors up the outside of South Korea’s Lotte Tower in Seoul

It could be just eight weeks away

New York (CNN) — The Teamsters union is holding a vote right now among more than 330,000 members to authorize a strike against UPS. If UPS workers strike, it would be the largest single-employer strike in US history. And it could take place in less than eight weeks.A strike could be devastating for both the company and the overall US economy, which is only recently seeing improvements from strained supply chains during the pandemic. An estimated 6% of the United States’ gross domestic product, the broadest measure of the economy, moves in UPS trucks, according to the company.FedEx and the US Postal Service won’t be able to make up for that. UPS is simply too big – delivering an average of 17 million domestic packages a day – to have all the packages it handles moved by competitors. The strike, if it happens, couldn’t come at a worse time for retailers stocking up for the back-to-school shopping season and preparing for the end-of-year holidays.Progress at the tableThe union hasn’t sp...‘Mind blown’: Boat captain finds fossilized megalodon tooth in Gulf of Mexico off Sarasota County

He believes the ancient discovery belonged to a legendary beast.Boat captain Michael Nastasio could not believe what he was holding.“It makes me feel like I got a tooth I’ve been dreaming about since I started doing this,” he said. “It’s just – I don’t even know how to explain it. I don’t think I could put it into words.”Nastasio found a megalodon shark tooth larger than six inches, fully intact, with the serrated edges as sharp as a knife. The boat captain said he found the fossil at the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico, off the coast of southern Sarasota County, a few weeks ago.“I swam for probably 20 to 30 minutes before I found any material that I actually liked,” he said, “and it wasn’t until two kicks after that, and I saw it looking at me and just, mind blown....Latest news
