(CNN) — The Air National Guardsman who is accused of posting a trove of classified documents to social media was repeatedly warned by his superiors in the Air Force over his mishandling of classified documents, prosecutors say.In court documents arguing for Jack Teixeira’s continued detention, prosecutors said that the 21-year-old’s “willful disregard” of his obligation to protect classified information has become more apparent in the weeks since he last appeared in court.“In particular, the Defendant’s disclosures (and associated boasting) continued even after being admonished by his superiors on two separate occasions — once in September 2022 and once in October 2022 — amid concerning actions that the Defendant took related to classified information,” prosecutors wrote. The new revelations come days before a federal magistrate judge in Massachusetts is slated to decide whether Teixeira will remain behind bars while he awaits trial. A visit to an old friend.Over the weekend, the Red Sox will have to contend with the shortstop who played more games for them than any other in franchise history. After 10 seasons in the majors, 1,264 regular-season games, two championships, and a slew of personal achievements, Xander Bogaerts opted out of his contract last fall, became a free agent, and signed an 11-year, $280 million deal with the San Diego Padres.Over 42 games with the first non-Red Sox team of his professional career, Bogaerts has collected 42 hits, including seven doubles, six home runs, 25 runs and 15 RBI. He’s also stolen four bases, drawn 22 walks and only struck out 29 times.Meanwhile, Boston’s middle infield is a hodgepodge, cobbled together, and decidedly less durable than it was during the Bogaerts era. Massachusetts Air National Guard officials scolded a 21-year-old service member accused of leaking classified government documents multiple times in 2022 for copying sensitive information that he was not supposed to be viewing, according to new court filings.Prosecutors and lawyers for Jack Teixeira filed new arguments Wednesday ahead of a Friday court hearing in Worcester where a magistrate judge is expected to decide whether Teixeira should remain behind bars for the foreseeable future.Government lawyers said Teixeira used a top-secret security clearance he obtained while working at Joint Base Cape Cod to illegally leak government documents online. And they also argue Teixeira should remain detained because he continued to look at and copy classified information even after he was reprimanded by his superiors.A redacted letter dated September 2022 from a Massachusetts Air National Guard master sergeant says they were “made aware” that Teixeira had been “observed taking notes on cla...Campaign spending on childcare may be possible under proposed law
