A Boston mother is speaking out after her son, who has autism, was given a flu shot at school despite her wishes. The school told Gabriela Gomes her son’s consent form was overlooked. Speaking with 7NEWS, Gomes recently shared her reaction. “I’m traumatized since that happened,” she said. Gomes’s 21-year-old son Sean goes to Boston Community Leadership Academy, which held a vaccine clinic in October. Gabriela Gomes said she checked off “no” on Sean’s flu shot consent form. Her selection of “no” on the consent form should have exempted her son from getting the vaccine. But, after the clinic, she was surprised to find Sean holding his arm, only to learn he had been vaccinated. “For him to get a needle without me there — I’ve seen what happens,” Gabriela said. “He goes out of breath. He panics and it shouldn’t have been done without me, period.” “It did hurt,” Sean said. Asked by his mother if he was scared, Sean responded.“Yeah, I was,” he said.&nbs...Solve It 7: Refund Runaround

A Bellingham man ordered some golf clubs he thought weren’t quite up to par. He says he got a refund runaround when he tried to return them, so he contacted Solve It Seven. Brandon Gunnoe has the story. After he retired, Jim Vincini decided hitting the links would be a perfect hobby.“What do I love about it? Well, more than anything, it’s probably just getting together. Because during retirement, a lot of times, you don’t see any of the people that you knew before, and I can hold my own with a lot of the guys,” Jim said. Hoping to improve his game Jim bought a set of four clubs from an online golf company.“I’m always thinking I could use a few more yards on my swing on my distance,” Jim said. He called in his order and paid about $500.“The man I talked to said, okay, but the deal is we’re going to send you four clubs. Try them out. Keep them for a while. If you’re not satisfied, send them back, an...Zach LaVine doesn’t deny the latest trade rumors. What does that mean for the 2-time All-Star — and the Chicago Bulls?

Zach LaVine isn’t denying the rumors anymore. For the last three years, LaVine has been quick to shut down any talk of a move away from the Chicago Bulls. But a day after a report by The Athletic suggested mutual interest in pursuing a trade, LaVine on Wednesday didn’t clear the smoke while speaking with reporters at a shootaround at the Advocate Center.LaVine did not outright answer whether he requested a trade. But he made it clear that frustration with a lack of winning has reached a new level. The Bulls entered their game against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday at the United Center at 4-7.“My camp talks to (the front office) all the time,” LaVine said. “It’s not like we’re not in a good relationship or a good talking space. We understand the business of basketball — I do more than most people. People talk. I’ve been in trade talks for a long time, so I understand the situation, but once news is always broken it’s a big th...Ravens vs. Bengals staff picks: Who will win Thursday’s Week 11 game in Baltimore?

The Ravens will be without their top offensive lineman for Thursday night’s crucial matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals at M&T Bank Stadium.Left tackle Ronnie Stanley, who injured his knee in last week’s loss to the Cleveland Browns and did not practice all week, was ruled out Wednesday for the AFC North showdown. Patrick Mekari will start in his place. It will mark the fourth missed game this season for Stanley, a 2019 All-Pro and Pro Bowl selection who signed a five-year, $112.8 million extension in 2020 that makes him one of the highest paid offensive linemen in the NFL. That includes the Ravens’ Week 2 game in Cincinnati, which Baltimore hung on to win, 27-24.Still, his absence could be problematic for the Ravens (7-3), who will get back right tackle Morgan Moses after he missed two games with a shoulder injury.
